Since moving to Colorado over a decade ago, Guen Sublette has found it hard not to marvel at the Rocky Mountain state’s unexpected rock outcroppings, dramatic cloudscapes, and quiet mountainous twists of road and stream. After years of working primarily as an editor and writer, Guen now devotes much of her time to turning these unavoidable impressions into expressions. Oil paint is her favorite media, thanks to its luminous, sculptural potential. A member of the Denver Art Students League, Guen enjoys continually exploring different means of expressionism through classes, workshops and shows.

Guen Sublette presented some of her original work in the 2010 Summer Art Market, hosted by the Art Students League of Denver.
