Welcome to the East Bay Recorder Society’s Marin Headlands Recorder and Viol Workshop portal. The Workshop will be held May 15, 16 and 17, 2009 in the lush Marin Headlands at the Point Bonita YMCA. Musical offerings will range from easily playable to challenging, from delightful Renaissance and Baroque music to snappy jazz. This year we will have the unusual opportunity of a contemporary composer leading us in performance of a few of his award-winning pieces, as well as another composer guiding participants in composing a new piece together! The ability to sight-read and count accurately will be a very helpful asset throughout this inspiring weekend.
