Directions to Headlands:
The Bunker-Barry Tunnel and Bunker Road to McCullough Road will be closed to all vehicles except construction traffic for several weeks. All motor vehicles must use Conzelman Road to enter and exit the Headlands. The detour is clearly marked.
When you come into the Marin Headlands, you will have to take the coastal route instead of the tunnel route into the Headlands. Follow the detour signs and go up and over the hill (Conzelman Road), as the tunnel with the 5 minute red light will be closed. Then take McCullough Road back down to Bunker. If you are traveling by bus, we DO NOT recommend that you have the bus take Conzelman all the way to our site. The road is very narrow and EXTREMELY steep in some spots. Have the bus take McCullough down to Bunker.
